The Pembina Institute is a non-profit think-tank that advocates for strong, effective policies to support Canada’s clean energy transition. It has just released its Alberta Community Solar Guide.
The guide is specifically designed for individual Albertans who want to participate in community solar, but also provides a great introduction to community solar in general. There are community solar case studies, overviews of the transmission grid and how it interacts with the different elements it includes and then guidance on how to start or get involved with a community solar project.
Renewable energy developers may also want to use it as an awareness tool when working with communities to develop such projects.
The guide can be downloaded from The Pembina Institute website
