CanSIA (Canadian Solar Industry Association) has announced that Autumn Proudlove, Lead Author of the ’50 States of Solar’ report which tracks solar policy and rate changes across the U.S. will be a keynote speaker at the Solar Canada conference June 20 and 21 in Calgary, Alberta.
Her presentation Solar & Storage Policy Trends in the US: Lessons Learned for Canada is scheduled for June 20 at 9AM. Her extensive knowledge about the growth, opportunities and challenges of the solar industry in the United States has many elements which can be applied to the Canadian market.
A graduate of Dartmouth College and Vermont Law School, Ms. Proudlove was Research Fellow at the Centre for Energy Technologies, Aarhus University and Principal Investigator for NCCETC’s work on the U.S. Department of Energy’s SunShot Solar Outreach Partnership.
This is the first year the Solar Canada conference will take place in Alberta and it reflects the province’s importance borh in Canada’s energy mix and its recent initiatives in solar and renewable sources.
Topics will include both utility scale and consumer/business focused installations. Industry experts, policy-makers and key stakeholders will be at Solar Canada to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the Canadian solar energy market.
Among the highlights of the 2017 conference was the Game Changer Awards for exceptional projects and leadership.
